About Kidz on the Hill & Muswell Hill School of Performing Arts

Kidz on the Hill was founded in 2008 by Lou Turner.

After 9 years of building a wonderful school with a truly

unique family feel, Lou handed over the reins to

professional actress Rosie Ward.In September 2016, the

students took a vote to choose our new name, and the

winner was Muswell Hill School of Performing Arts.

Rosie trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and worked at Kidz on

the Hill for 2 years as the drama teacher, before taking over as Principal.

She has taught drama from young people aged 3 - 18 years old and is passionate about developing confidence and general life skills through performing arts. She still teaches the drama at MHSPA and writes the scripts for the annual productions.

As an actor, she has worked on a range of projects, from Shakespeare to musicals to children's theatre. She has an extensive voiceover CV. She is also a professional singer in a 1960's Soul Trio. She runs UpFront Theatre Company, which runs interative PSHE workshops in secondary schools, and the East London Shakespeare Festival.
